Culture. Community. Creativity.
Friends. Fitness. Fun!
Yes, YOU can bellydance! Farha’s classes will get you moving and exercising muscles you didn’t know you had, all the while learning to speak with your hips and heart. She uses detailed breakdowns and colorful imagery to give you access to the secrets of bellydance.
Why YOU should take bellydance classes
From increased confidence, to an outlet for creative expression, to meeting new friends: everyone benefits differently. Bellydance allows the dancer to exercise a positive and healthy form of control of her body and can provide an atmosphere that encourages experiencing and expressing emotions. It is also a chance for grown ups to remember to play and have fun!
Bellydance also acts as a bridge between cultures, and opens the door to new experiences, perspectives, and beauty for participants.
Check back after it is safe to end quarantine! In the mean time, check out Farha's class page on facebook for zoom-based offerings.
About Syracuse Bellydance School
Farha created the Syracuse Bellydance School to give students and organized way to learn bellydance. Our curriculum is planned so that classes, confidence, and skills build on each other while preserving the unique flavor of raks sharki and avoiding the sterilizing influence of standardization that is so antithetical to this diverse folk dance.
Location TBD after quarantine ends.
