Great progress, ladies! To travel with the figure 8, first notice how your weight naturally shifts during the move, then take small steps. During the uneven figure 8 use your standing leg's glute to support yourself. As with all turns, engage your core for balance during the compass turn. During a Saidi step, remember to "go up very little, and down very lot" ^_^
I wanted to take a second to talk about the ways bellydance can be therapeutic, of course it can also be just plain fun ^_^
There is a concept in Arabic music called Tarab, which loosely means "the ecstasy of listening" and is a sort of trance like state of just being immersed in, one with, and carried away by the music as you let it move you (physically and emotionally). The clip below mentions it.
